Newest KATO Crawler carriers FOR BBBV
The two completely renewed Kato IC100-5 crawler carriers were recently festively delivered to Brouwer & Brouwer. They also opened new premises in Eastermar, Friesland. Equipped with Stage V engines, the dumpers are over two tons lighter, more compact and more comfortable compared to the older IHI crawler carriers. For Brouwer & Brouwer, the machines are equipped with raised buckets with a hydraulic tailgate.

Kato introduces the new IC 100-5 crawler carrier for the Dutch and Belgian market in order to meet the growing demand for crawler carriers with Stage V engines and to return to full participation as a manufacturer in this segment. We are talking about a completely new generation, which is grafted onto the crawler carrier from the past of IHI, which was acquired by Kato several years ago. Kato not only equipped the newcomer with a 197 kW (268 hp) Stage V-Cummins QSB6.7 engine, but also developed a new cabin especially for this work.
Standard features of the cab include air conditioning, side and rear cameras, a deluxe seat and simple joystick controls. Furthermore, the Kato 100-5 has a relatively low hood and is very compactly built. Outside, the machine is 2.55 meters wide and 2.70 meters high on the standard 70-centimeter wide tracks. This makes it transportable on a bucket truck. The machine is relatively lightweight. At 11.6 tons, you can transport two dumpers on a truck with a trailer. The machines are also relatively compactly built. The bucket has a standard maximum tipping angle of 65 degrees. Also, the crawler carrier is equipped with a weighing system.
